Our vision is to be the best charity for firefighters and their families.
We believe it feels good to do good, and that every ounce of help matters.
That's why we host individual Mayday Campaigns, ensuring that EVERY SINGLE PENNY you donate directly benefits the recipients. In fact, we go the extra mile by adding an additional 3.43% to maximize the impact of your contributions.
Click the links below to discover the lives you can touch and the difference you can make. Each story is a testament to the strength and resilience of our firefighting community.
Your contribution, no matter the amount, will be a beacon of hope, lighting the way forward for those who have dedicated their lives to serving others. With your help, we can continue being the lifeline that our firefighter community relies on.

Hurt on duty, but no workers’ comp. Let’s fix that
On New Year’s Eve 2025, Rick Bassin of South Carolina suffered a sudden cardiac arrest while on duty at his full time department, was resuscitated and spent a couple of days in the hospital. Since the cardiac arrest wasn’t brought on by actively fighting fire, the state’s workers’ comp has denied the claim.
Mayday for Captain William Lutostanski Jr.
Captain William Lutostanski Jr. started his career in the Baltimore County FD on February 15, 1999 as a FF/EMT. Our brother rose through the suppression ranks, first to Fire Specialist, assigned to T8 in Fullerton for almost 10 years. After, William assumed his role as Fire Lt, serving the west side of Baltimore County on Pikesville E2 for almost three years before being promoted to his current rank of Fire Captain; Will had a brief stint at Golden Ring E16 before making his way back to the west side on E3 in Woodlawn, where he finished his career. Sadly, Will was diagnosed with work-related cancer three years ago and has been fighting for his life ever since.
Standing with Captain Major Cain Jr. in the Fight of His Life
Major Cain Jr. wouldn’t want us to make a fuss. As a Shift Captain at Lakeside Fire & Rescue, he’s the best we’ve ever worked under—a man who would do anything for his crew. Now, Major is facing a Stage IV cancer diagnosis.
The battle involves intensive chemo and surgeries to remove cancer from his colon, lungs, and liver. He’s a fighter, but no one should fight this alone. We’re stepping up to keep him on his feet during the hardest shift of his life. Join us in supporting a true leader, a paramedic, and a brother.

Real Recognizes Real: Help the Hero Who Didn't Wait.
Sirens were wailing in the distance, but time was running out. Yahya Mbareck saw the danger and refused to stand by. Without hesitation, he scaled the exterior of the building, reaching the third floor and pulling the victim to safety just moments before fire crews arrived on the scene.
It takes a special kind of person to run toward danger. Yahya saved a life that night. Let's come together to support him and say thank you for his selfless courage.

Two Twins, One Rare Diagnosis, and a Mission to Philadelphia.
Sonia is "Sonia Unstoppable," but her parents need backup. The travel to Philadelphia is mandatory and frequent. The specialized care, the equipment, and the sheer logistics of transporting a medically complex child across the country are overwhelming.
We are raising funds to facilitate these life-saving trips to CHOP. We are raising funds so Gary and Sarah can focus on being parents to Sonia and Grace, rather than worrying about the next bill.
A tragic accident won't have the last word. Join Troy’s fight today.
We are asking the community and the firefighting brotherhood to help ease the massive financial burden of airlift costs, surgery, and long-term rehabilitation. Your donation allows Troy to focus entirely on one thing: waking up and getting home.

Standing with the Spears Family: A Call to Action for a Meridian Brother
When one of our own faces a crisis, we come together. Lori Spears, a devoted mother of three, is beginning her battle against lymphoma.

How you can help:
Donate: Every dollar goes directly toward Lori’s medical expenses and family support.
Share: Help us spread the word to the Meridian community.
