Captain Lawler, a dedicated member of the department since 2002 and a Captain for the last seven years, suffered a major stroke at the end of July. He is now stable but faces a long, difficult fight to recover the life he knew.

With the heaviest of hearts, we announce the passing of Lieutenant Tony Manfredi of the City of Hamilton Fire Department, IAFF Local 20. At just 37 years old, Tony was a dedicated firefighter, a loving husband, and an expecting father whose watch ended far too soon.
