For over 22 years, Captain David Lawler has dedicated his life to protecting the families of the Lake Cities community. As a respected leader in the Lake Cities Fire Department for the last seven years, he has always been the one running toward danger to help others.

Now, Captain Lawler is facing his own personal battle.

On Tuesday, July 29th, he suffered a severe stroke. He was discovered the next day and rushed to the ER, where he is now stabilized and beginning a long and challenging road to recovery.

Captain Lawler has always answered our calls for help. Today, we need to answer the call for him. While he focuses on getting stronger every day, the financial burden of medical bills and lost income can be overwhelming for his family.
