Washington, D.C. - Christopher Sanchez, Fire Operations Captain at the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, and his family have faced an incredibly difficult time following his wife’s battle with breast cancer. She was diagnosed a little over a year ago, and her condition worsened significantly in recent weeks. At the beginning of last week, she was placed in hospice care as her health continued to decline; she passed away at home with Chris and their twin daughters by her side. Her loss has left the family grieving as they begin to navigate life without her.
Throughout his wife’s illness, Chris devoted significant time to caring for his family and supporting his daughters. Traveling to medical appointments and managing his daughters’ various sports activities required him to take considerable time away from work. These responsibilities, combined with the emotional toll of his wife’s illness and passing, have placed a significant strain on the family. Let’s provide some relief to Chris and his family as they push onward the best they can.
