Assistance for the family of Dispatcher Melissa Prosser
Relief for the family of Melissa Prosser
A 501(c)(3) Tax-Deductible Campaign
Melissa “Missi” Prosser brought light and kindness to everyone she met, from family and friends to the patients she cared for in the back of an ambulance. She began as an EMT-B at a private company before running 911 calls in rural counties without dedicated fire departments. No matter how brief the encounter, people remembered her. She later started paramedic school but found her true calling in dispatch, becoming the voice people heard in their time of need. At WESCOM, she quickly stood out and was taken off orientation early, earning the respect and admiration of her peers.
On the morning of April 5th, after a 12-hour shift, Missi was killed in an accident on Route 55 while driving home. Her loss leaves a deep void in the community and in the lives of those who knew her. She is survived by her father, Michael, her mother, Margaret, her brothers Zack and Patrick, and many friends who loved her. Let’s get the Prosser family some relief while they face this devastating loss.
