Relief for the family of Chief Harold Osborn
A 501(c)(3) Tax-Deductible Campaign
Chief Harold Osborn and members of his department responded to a medical emergency at approximately 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 8th, that required manual heavy lifting. A few hours later, his wife found him in cardiac arrest and immediately began CPR while emergency assistance was requested. Despite the efforts of responding personnel, including members of his own fire department, Chief Osborn passed from an apparent heart attack.
For 30 years, Harold served the Seelyville Volunteer Fire Department, including 16 years as Fire Chief, leading with integrity, professionalism, and compassion. His commitment to emergency services extended beyond the fire service, as he also served as an EMT for 26 years, providing critical care and assistance to countless individuals during their times of greatest need. Harold was a founding member of the Fire Fighter Honor Guard, helping ensure fellow first responders received the dignity and respect they earned through their service, and he also served as a Reserve Deputy with the Vigo County Sheriff’s Department. Whether responding to emergencies, mentoring younger firefighters, or honoring fallen first responders, Harold exemplified the highest ideals of public service. His dedication and leadership will leave a lasting impact on the communities he faithfully served. He is survived by his wife, Bobbi, six children, and eight grandchildren. Let’s get the Osborn family the relief they need, so they can take time to properly honor Harold’s life.
