Indiana’s Matthew O’Connor of the Logansport Fire Department was recently involved in an ORV accident and was transported to a trauma center for treatment. He sustained significant injuries, including fractures to his fibula, tibia, ankle, and clavicle, along with a head injury requiring stitches. Matthew has served as a career firefighter for six years and as a volunteer firefighter for eight years. Outside of the fire service, he works full time as a farmer on his days off. His commitment to serving others reflects the dedication and work ethic he brings to both his career and his community.
Matthew is also a devoted husband and father of two children, including his daughter, Wrenleigh, who was recently born. His wife had just returned to work following maternity leave when the accident occurred. With Matthew unable to work while recovering from his injuries, the family is facing additional challenges during an already demanding time. He has always worked hard to provide for his family while continuing to serve those around him. Let’s help the O’Connors fight through this extensive recovery period.
