Support for FF Alex Mowrer and family while son Palmer faces numereous health challenges

Support for FF Alex Mowrer and family

A 501(c)(3) Tax-Deductible Campaign

Alex Mowrer, a International Association of Fire Fighters Local 1492 member and DeKalb County firefighter, and his wife Brooke are currently at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta with their young son, Palmer, who is in severe heart failure following his fourth open-heart surgery. Palmer was born with multiple complex congenital heart defects, including pulmonary atresia, dextrocardia, and transposition of the great arteries (TGA). Since birth, he has undergone four open-heart surgeries and spent much of his young life overcoming extraordinary medical challenges.

What was expected to be Palmer’s major corrective surgery unfortunately resulted in severe complications, and he remains hospitalized at CHOA while his medical team determines the best path forward for his care. The Mowrers are now facing a long and uncertain hospital stay as they continue to support Palmer through his recovery. Let’s show support and love to them as they fight through this, holding brave faces every step of the way.
