Shawn Franklin, husband of Salisbury, NC Battalion Chief Lauran Franklin, was killed in a car accident last Saturday while away for work in Kentucky. His sudden passing has left Lauran and their family facing an unimaginable loss. Shawn and Lauran shared a life together centered around their family and their commitment to caring for their children. They are parents to five children, two of whom they had recently welcomed into their home through foster care. Shawn's loss has deeply affected the entire Franklin family.
During this difficult time, Lauran and her children are navigating the challenges that come with losing a husband and father.
