A Firefighter's Fight: Join Justin Stiehl's Battle Against Cancer
Firefighters run toward danger when everyone else runs away. It’s a career built on courage, selflessness, and an unbreakable bond with their brothers and sisters. St. Tammany Fire Captain Justin Stiehl embodies that spirit every day, but now he's facing a different kind of fire.
After years of serving his country as a U.S. Coast Guard Helicopter Crew Chief and his community as a dedicated Fire Captain/EMT, Justin received a diagnosis no one expects: Hodgkin's Lymphoma. A mass was found in his lung, but true to his nature, Justin isn’t backing down. He's tackling this challenge head-on with chemotherapy treatments.
Even in the toughest moments, Justin shows up for his crew. He's at the firehouse for family dinners and is leading his team at the 2025 NOLA Memorial Stair Climb. His resilience is an inspiration, but he needs our support to win this fight.
