Hero Down, But Not Out: Help Firefighter Gallagher Recover

When a fire broke out on September 28, Firefighter John Gallagher rushed in while others ran out. He saved a life, but in the process, he was severely injured. His heroic actions in the face of danger led to severe burns to his hands and wrists.

For John, being a firefighter isn't just a job—it's a calling. A 6.5-year veteran of the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he has dedicated his life to protecting others. He is also a devoted father and the sole provider for his family of four. To support them, he works a full-time job and a part-time job.

Because of his injuries, John is now unable to work and faces a lengthy recovery. We can't heal his burns, but we can help ease the financial burden on his family. Members of the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department and IAFF Local 121 are asking for your help.

Every dollar you give goes directly to Firefighter Gallagher and his family, helping to replace his lost income and provide stability during this uncertain time.
