Our vision is to be the best charity for firefighters and their families.
We believe it feels good to do good, and that every ounce of help matters.
That's why we host individual Mayday Campaigns, ensuring that EVERY SINGLE PENNY you donate directly benefits the recipients. In fact, we go the extra mile by adding an additional 3.43% to maximize the impact of your contributions.
Click the links below to discover the lives you can touch and the difference you can make. Each story is a testament to the strength and resilience of our firefighting community.
Your contribution, no matter the amount, will be a beacon of hope, lighting the way forward for those who have dedicated their lives to serving others. With your help, we can continue being the lifeline that our firefighter community relies on.
Mayday for Captain William Lutostanski Jr.
Captain William Lutostanski Jr. started his career in the Baltimore County FD on February 15, 1999 as a FF/EMT. Our brother rose through the suppression ranks, first to Fire Specialist, assigned to T8 in Fullerton for almost 10 years. After, William assumed his role as Fire Lt, serving the west side of Baltimore County on Pikesville E2 for almost three years before being promoted to his current rank of Fire Captain; Will had a brief stint at Golden Ring E16 before making his way back to the west side on E3 in Woodlawn, where he finished his career. Sadly, Will was diagnosed with work-related cancer three years ago and has been fighting for his life ever since.
Standing with Captain Major Cain Jr. in the Fight of His Life
Major Cain Jr. wouldn’t want us to make a fuss. As a Shift Captain at Lakeside Fire & Rescue, he’s the best we’ve ever worked under—a man who would do anything for his crew. Now, Major is facing a Stage IV cancer diagnosis.
The battle involves intensive chemo and surgeries to remove cancer from his colon, lungs, and liver. He’s a fighter, but no one should fight this alone. We’re stepping up to keep him on his feet during the hardest shift of his life. Join us in supporting a true leader, a paramedic, and a brother.
