On the morning of April 8th, Schaumburg Fire Department’s FF/PM Evan Zibell experienced a medical emergency while off-duty, entering cardiac arrest shortly thereafter. While he was initially resuscitated thanks to the swift actions of his wife, Liz, and the Libertyville Fire Department, FF Zibell tragically passed away after treatment in the ICU.
After such a sudden loss, the Zibell family, in addition to their grief, will have to face financial hardship and the difficulties that come with it. Let’s work together to get them the help they deserve, so they can honor and cherish Evan’s memory with fewer challenges in the way.
