Workman’s Comp Denied Him. We Won’t. Rally for Charlie Pell.
A Lifetime of Service, A Critical Need
For over 25 years, Charlie Pell has answered the call. A dedicated member of Union Township and a veteran of multiple departments, Charlie represents the heart of our service. Service runs in his blood—his father serves as the Chief of Blanchester Fire, and his mother served as the Chief of Blanchester EMS.
The Diagnosis In April, Charlie’s world changed. What appeared to be a torn bicep sustained on duty revealed a much darker reality: Terminal Bone Cancer. The cancer had silently eaten away his bone, causing the break.
Why We Need You Now Because Charlie serves as a Part-Time member, he does not have employer-sponsored health insurance. To make matters worse, Workman’s Comp dropped his case and denied coverage, classifying his injury as a disability rather than a line-of-duty injury.
Charlie is now in the fight of his life without a safety net.
His wife has left her job to provide the 24/7 care he needs during aggressive chemotherapy treatments. This has left the family with:
Mounting medical bills.
Zero income.
No insurance coverage.
Answering the Call Charlie dedicated his life to protecting strangers. Now, he needs his brothers, sisters, and community to protect him. We are raising funds to cover his medical treatments and essential living expenses so his wife can remain by his side without the fear of losing their home.
Please donate today. No amount is too small to help a brother who has given us his all.
