Stand with Oxfordshire Fire Department: Supporting Our Heroes and Their Families

On May 15th, 2025, the Oxfordshire community was struck by a devastating tragedy at Bicester Motion.

A fire claimed the lives of two brave Oxfordshire firefighters, Jennie Logan and Martyn Sadler, alongside a member of the public, David Chester from Bicester.

Jennie and Martyn, dedicated members of the Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, answered the call of duty and made the ultimate sacrifice. Martyn also served with the London Fire Brigade, highlighting his unwavering commitment to protecting others.

Two additional firefighters were seriously injured and remain in hospital.

This heartbreaking loss has deeply impacted the Oxfordshire Fire Department and the wider community.
