TROTWOOD, OH - Kris Long is a firefighter and medic with 30+ years of service at the Trotwood Fire Department, having served the last 10 years as a lieutenant. Just four months from retirement, Kris was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is preparing for an upcoming surgery. He has dedicated his entire career to serving the Trotwood community, one of the busiest cities in Montgomery County, Ohio, and is also an Army veteran. Beyond his service, Kris is a husband, father, brother, friend, and respected supervisor who has always been there for the people around him. His dedication to his family, coworkers, and community has made a lasting impact on everyone who knows him.

He now faces a long and difficult road ahead, including surgery, medical appointments, scans, and ongoing treatment. Pancreatic cancer is an aggressive disease, and he and his family will need continued support throughout his recovery. Let’s show Kris and his family we’ve got their backs.
