Help cover costs and losses for CFD’s Lt. Joe Lambert as he recovers from medical emergency
Relief for Lt. Joe Lambert
A 501(c)(3) Tax-Deductible Campaign
While on shift at the firehouse, Lt. Joe Lambert experienced a medical emergency that resulted in cardiac arrest. The members of Engine 54, Truck 20, and Ambulance 14 quickly recognized the issue and immediately rendered care. After a short round of CPR, Joe regained spontaneous circulation. After three days in the hospital, Joe was released and was able to see his daughter off to prom.
He is now at home resting with his family. It is still unclear what provoked this medical event, and continued visits with specialists will be required. Joe is a selfless man, a phenomenal leader and a terrific father. Joe works tirelessly at both the Chicago Fire Department and the River Grove Fire Department to get his two daughters through school. Let’s support Lt. Lambert in his time of need, helping to offset missed wages during his time in recovery.
