Fort Worth, TX - Firefighter and Paramedic Dennis Denham has served with the Fort Worth Fire Department for 10 years. On September 23, just three months after his 10th birthday, his son Greyson was diagnosed with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL). The diagnosis followed a routine pediatrician visit and bloodwork that revealed concerning results. Greyson's mother and pediatrician acted quickly, arranging for his admission to Dell Children's Hospital in Austin, Texas, that same evening. Further testing confirmed the diagnosis, and Greyson began chemotherapy the following morning.
Greyson spent the next six days in the hospital surrounded by his mother Aileen, stepfather James, father Dennis, and Dennis's girlfriend Deeann. His family now travels to Dell Children's Hospital one to two times a week for chemotherapy and routine bloodwork, with additional visits depending on his response to treatment. These ongoing medical needs have brought significant changes and challenges to their daily lives. Greyson continues to face his battle with remarkable courage and strength, so let’s bolster Greyson and his family in their fight against this cruel disease.
