Coeur d'Alene Firefighters Shot: Support Fund for Fallen & Injured Heroes

On June 29th, the community of Coeur d'Alene suffered an unthinkable tragedy. the brave Coeur d'Alene firefighters responded to a brush fire on Canfield Mountain, only to be met with a cowardly and brutal ambush.

In a horrifying shooting, at least two of their dedicated firefighters made the ultimate sacrifice, losing their lives while protecting our homes and our lives. Several other firefighters sustained serious injuries in this horrific attack on Coeur d'Alene firefighters.

This heinous act has shaken us to our core. Our firefighters are not just public servants; they are our neighbors, our friends, and our family. They rush into danger when others flee, always putting the safety of our community first.

They faced an unprecedented assault, and our hearts are broken for those we lost and those who are now fighting for their lives.

The Coeur d'Alene Fire Department is reeling from this devastating loss.

Our focus is on supporting the families of the fallen heroes and providing the best possible care for our injured firefighters. We are also committed to ensuring our department has the resources needed to continue serving Coeur d'Alene through this incredibly difficult time.
