Rock Hill, SC - Cpt. Mike Atkins served with the Rock Hill Fire Department and was a respected leader, colleague, and friend who made a lasting impact on those who worked alongside him. Mike was diagnosed with a brain tumor and given an estimated 9 to 12 months to live. Despite his prognosis, he courageously battled the disease for three years. Throughout his fight, he showed remarkable strength and determination, but recently has unfortunately passed away.

Mike was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend to many. His passing leaves behind his wife and two young daughters; he will be remembered for his character, kindness, and dedication to both his family and his fellow firefighters.
