Our Story:

On April 8th, the world turned upside down. A routine call about Duncan's fever quickly escalated into a nightmare we never saw coming. As a firefighter with the Lake Zurich Fire Department, Alex faced his fair share of challenges, but nothing prepared the Tanner’s for this.

Facing Uncertainty:

At just a few months old, Duncan experienced a seizure due to a fever spike, leaving everyone terrified and on edge whenever he fell ill. When his fever persisted despite treatment, he was rushed to the pediatrician, only to be referred to Lutheran General in Park Ridge, IL.

The Road Ahead:

After days of uncertainty, our worst fears were confirmed: Duncan has B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Our sweet boy faces a long and arduous journey ahead, including surgery for a port and two years of chemotherapy.
