In every battle, there emerges a hero. Today, that hero is Frank Manslow.
At 40 years of age, Frank, a US Air Guard Master Sergeant and dedicated Civilian Assistant Chief at the 193 Special Operations Wing, faces an adversary unlike any he's encountered before — stage 4 Peritoneal Mucinous Carcinomatosis. This incurable cancer demands a fierce fight, and Frank is confronting it with unwavering strength.
A Lifetime of Service:
With over 20 years in the Air Guard and a career spanning nearly two decades as a firefighter, Frank has selflessly served his country and community. Multiple overseas deployments, countless hours on the front lines — his commitment to protecting others knows no bounds.
The Battle He Never Expected:
Earlier this year, Frank's life took an unexpected turn. A diagnosis that shook the foundations of normalcy — stage 4 cancer. Despite enduring surgery and ongoing treatments, Frank's journey is fraught with challenges. The toll it's taken on him physically and emotionally, is immeasurable.
A Single Dad's Struggle:
Beyond his military and firefighting roles, Frank shoulders the responsibilities of single parenthood. His 6-year-old child looks up to a dad facing adversity with bravery. Frank would never ask for help, but he deserves our support.
