Support Firefighter Chris Walker in His Fight Against Cancer
Stand with Firefighter Chris Walker
For 27 years, Firefighter/Paramedic Chris Walker has answered the call for the City of Carmel. Whether on the engine or the ambulance, he has dedicated his life to serving others. He is also a devoted husband of 26 years and a proud father to four children. He is a family man, a public servant, and a brother to every firefighter on the line.
Today, Chris is facing his toughest battle yet. He is fighting cancer for the third time and was recently diagnosed with a new cancerous nodule on his liver. This fight has already kept him on light duty for nearly two years, and he faces at least another year of surgeries and treatments. The road ahead is long, and the physical, emotional, and financial tolls are immense.
Chris has never backed down from a challenge, and he isn't about to start now. But no firefighter fights alone.
The Yard Foundation is calling on the brotherhood and the community Chris has served so faithfully.
Let’s rally together to lift the burden for the Walker family. Your donation will directly support Chris on his healing journey, helping with medical bills and household expenses so he can focus on what matters most: fighting this disease and getting back to his family.
Let’s show Chris that the brotherhood is alive and well. Let’s show him he's not in this fight alone.
