Boost FF/PMD Hannah Ruggles in her fight against breast cancer

Relief for FF/PMD Hannah Ruggles

A 501(c)(3) Tax-Deductible Campaign

Indiana’s FF/PMD Hannah Ruggles fell in love with fire and EMS almost 10 years ago, and has devoted herself fully to the profession ever since, currently serving with Muncie Fire Department. She continues to set new goals while giving back through medical mission trips and peer support across multiple agencies. In October 2025, she was suddenly diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, and treatment had to begin immediately to prevent further spread. The only female firefighter paramedic in her department, Hannah continued working full time on the ambulance while undergoing chemotherapy.

She later received the additional diagnoses of a TP53 gene mutation and Li-Fraumeni syndrome. Even in the face of these challenges, Hannah’s commitment to helping others has never wavered. She participated in the 5 Alarm 5K at FDIC to raise awareness for firefighter cancer, running the night before her surgery. Hannah still faces several years of treatment and additional surgeries, but her strength and dedication continue to inspire everyone around her. Let’s ease her financial burden as she takes these challenges head-on.
