Rally for a Brother: Help Chris Sadowski on His Toughest Call Yet
He's Answered Our Calls. Now It's Our Turn to Answer His.
In the fire service, a "Mayday" is a call for help when one of our own is in grave danger. Today, we are sounding that call for Firefighter Chris Sadowski.
On October 16th, while off-duty, Chris was struck by a vehicle in a severe motorcycle accident. He is now in critical condition, fighting through extensive injuries including a flail chest, critical abdominal and back trauma, and multiple leg fractures. He is on a ventilator, facing the toughest battle of his life.
This tragedy struck just one month after Chris married the love of his life. They were excitedly planning their future—buying a home, starting a family, and building a life together. In an instant, those dreams were put on hold.
As a career firefighter with Georgetown County Fire/EMS, Chris is known for his heart of gold and unwavering dedication. He’s the one who shows up on the worst day of someone's life, ready to serve and protect. Now, he and his new wife are facing their worst day, and they need us to show up for them.
While Chris focuses on healing, the last thing his family should worry about is the overwhelming financial burden of medical bills, lost income, and a long, uncertain road to recovery.
Let’s show Chris and his family what the power of the brotherhood truly means.
