Bethany, daughter of Texas firefighter Joe Perez, is just one year old and was recently diagnosed with leukemia. Right now, FF Perez and his wife, Jackie, are by her side in the PICU at Christus Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital in San Antonio, focusing on what matters most: her care, comfort, and the challenges ahead. If you know Joe, you know that Bethany has his stubbornness, his grit, and plenty of her own feisty spirit. She is already fighting and ready to beat this.
The Perez family is overwhelmed by the love, messages, and support from so many of you, and they ask for patience as they may not be able to respond right away- but just know how it means the world to them.
