Help the Lecompte Family Rebuild Their Lives

A 19-year veteran firefighter and his nurse-wife lost their home and nearly all their possessions while he was on duty. Now, they need our help.

For 19 years, Firefighter John Lecompte has protected the citizens of Anne Arundel County. As a veteran of the AACFD, assigned to Station 31, he has dedicated his life to answering the call on someone else's worst day. His wife, a dedicated nurse at Bay Health Hospital, shares that same commitment to service.

Tragically, on November 9th, while John was on duty with his company, his own family faced their worst day.

A sudden lightning strike ignited a devastating fire at their family home in Camden, Delaware. The home was lost. John, his wife, and their four children—Ethan (21), Evan (15), Beckett (7), and Emelia (4)—lost nearly everything they owned.

This family, which has spent a combined decades serving others, now finds themselves with nothing. They face the overwhelming task of rebuilding their entire lives from the ground up.

In the fire service, we have each other's backs. We are a family. When one of us is in need, we all step up.

John has always answered the call for us. Today, we are answering the call for him.

This fundraiser gives us a way to directly support the Lecompte family. We are raising funds to help them secure housing, replace clothes and essentials, and begin the long, difficult process of rebuilding.

Every single contribution, no matter the amount, makes a direct and immediate difference. It shows this family that they are not alone and that the community they've served for so long is standing right beside them.

Thank you for your support.
