On February 13, 2026, Oklahoma’s Ronnie Cole went in for his annual checkup after experiencing pain in his left shoulder blade. An X-ray revealed enlarged lymph nodes, and further scans found a 3x5 mass in his lung. After additional testing and a PET scan, Ronnie was diagnosed with Stage 4 malignant neuroendocrine cancer that has metastasized to his liver, bones, ribs, spine, thyroid, lymph nodes, and lungs. Doctors believe the cancer is linked to his years of service as a volunteer firefighter for Coweta Fire Department from 1979 to 1993. While the cancer is not curable, chemotherapy may help manage his severe pain and give him more time; Ronnie is 66 years old and hopes for more good years with his loved ones.

Ronnie spent many years serving his community as a volunteer firefighter, always answering the call to help others. Now he is facing the fight of his life. After suffering a stroke at age 47, Ronnie was forced into early retirement and now lives on Social Security disability. Although insurance covers part of his care, the family is struggling with a $7,500 deductible and the ongoing costs of treatments, medications, and travel for appointments. Let’s support Ronnie and his family while they navigate these trying times.
