Lt. Rico Cathey has been with Memphis Fire Department for over 10 years, serving his community on Engine 14, A shift in the Soulsville neighborhood of South Memphis. In addition to being a dedicated fireman, he is a proud father beloved by his coworkers, friends, and family.

Tragically, his son, Ladainian, was killed earlier this month, just hours after heading out to attend his high school prom. He was initially rushed to the hospital in critical condition, but later died from his injuries. This loss has left a large void in the hearts of not only his family, but the community as a whole. Let’s show the Cathey family love and financial support to cover the unexpected costs that come with the sudden passing of a child, and allow them to remember and honor Ladainian as they need.
