Coeur d'Alene suffered an unthinkable tragedy. The brave Coeur d'Alene firefighters responded to a brush fire on Canfield Mountain, only to be met with a cowardly and brutal ambush. In a horrifying shooting, three of our dedicated firefighters made the ultimate sacrifice, losing their lives while protecting our homes and our lives. Several other firefighters sustained serious injuries in this horrific attack on Coeur d'Alene firefighters.
