We are coming together as a community to remember and honor Chief JP Muirhead, a dedicated leader, and retired firefighter. This week, we bid farewell to a hero who served as the active chief of the Crete Fire Department and as a retired firefighter from Riverdale. JP Muirhead's legacy is one of selflessness, courage, and unwavering dedication to his community.

A Life of Service:

Chief JP Muirhead dedicated his life to the service of others. As the active chief of the Crete Fire Department and a retired firefighter from Riverdale, his impact on the firefighting community was profound. Beyond his commitment to duty, JP was a family man, leaving behind his beloved wife, Katelyn, and two young children aged 2 and 5.

Facing the Challenge:

This week, we face the solemn reality of JP's passing, a result of his battle with cancer. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, and in the firefighting community that he served with honor and distinction.
